NOTE 1: The biozone ranges of the erosional breaks in well 214/4-1 are inferred on the basis of sparse information published by Davies & Cartwright (In press). As such, the stratigraphic range of the Neogene sections in this well should be regarded as provisional.
NOTE 2: Biostratigraphic data from well 204/28-1 indicate undifferentiated Plio-Pleistocene sediments on Oligocene strata. However, seismic records suggest the possibility that the Plio-Pleistocene section is cut by the INU. This implies that the undifferentiated Plio-Pleistocene deposits penetrated by this well may include sub-INU, lower Pliocene sediments (up to 89m thick) of the FSN-2 megasequence.
NOTE 3: Re-analysis of biostratigraphic data in well 219/20-1 has suggested that
in situ middle Miocene sediments, NN8 at youngest, may be present. Seismic records in the area show a Miocene section pinching out to the SW, just beyond the well location. Consequently, a potential mid-Miocene section cannot be discounted in this well.
